Baraka Nasari helps clients understand the process and implications of financial restructuring and insolvency. He ensures that clients look beyond their immediate financial concerns to consider their post-restructuring plans, both for the company and their employees. He began his career at Hogan Lovells as a summer associate in 2017.
Prior to joining the firm, Baraka held internships in nonprofits and with in-house counsel at an analytics firm. While in law school, he served on numerous boards, including Outlaws and the High School Law Institute. Before law school, he worked as managing editor of a sports website.

Representative experience
Advised the Unsecured Creditors Committee in the Chapter 11 cases of Speedcast International Ltd., currently pending in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Advised Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas as indenture trustee for US$3bn of bonds, and as a member of the Official Creditors Committee, in the Chapter 11 of Valaris, the largest offshore driller.
Represented ID Logistics in its cross-border acquisition of Jagged Peak, a logistics services company that was in Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Representing the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Speedcast International Limited in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, pending in the Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of Texas.
