Chris Mullen advises clients on a wide range of international trade matters, including navigating complex and dynamic export controls, as well as economic sanctions in restricted regions of the world. Additionally, Chris advises companies on national security review before CFIUS and compliance with anti-money laundering obligations at the state and federal levels.

While in law school, Chris served as the Editor in Chief of the New York University (NYU) Journal of International Law and Politics, a position in which he gained broad exposure to pressing and emergent issues in private and public international law. He also interned at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Legal Defense and Education Fund (NAACP-LDF) in New York City and served as a mediator in the Bronx through NYU's Mediation Clinic.

During the summer following his first year of law school, Chris interned at the Hague Conference on Private International Law. There he worked on issues ranging from cross-border asylum claims to international recognition of disputed territories.

Chris received his undergraduate degree with high distinction from the University of Virginia, where he majored in history and politics and minored in French language and literature. As an undergraduate, Chris received the Raven Society Award for "excellence in service and contribution" to the university.
