Soumitro Mukerji advises a wide range of clients, including corporates, banks, financial sponsors, investment funds, and HNIs on all aspects of corporate and finance transactions.

He is an English and India-qualified highly experienced international banking and finance lawyer. In a career spanning over a decade, he has worked in London, Singapore, and Mumbai and is able to offer a truly international perspective on transactions.

He is particularly strong on highly complex banking and finance matters, including leveraged and acquisition financings, funds finance, equity-linked financings and other forms of structured lending. He has worked on some of the most high-profile European and Asian financings involving senior, TLA/TLB, second lien, mezzanine, PIK, and unitranche/super-senior structures. He also routinely works on funds finance matters, acting for both sponsor clients as well as financiers.

Soumitro is a key member of our India team and advises international clients on India-related opportunities and Indian clients on their offshore matters. He frequently travels to India on business-related matters and has excellent contacts in the Indian business and legal community.

Soumitro does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, irrespective of the size of the transaction. Clients describe him as energetic, commercial, knowledgeable, and user-friendly.
