Moritz Maier advises public and private companies on capital markets law, corporate matters, and transactions. He has experience partnering with cross-border and cross-practice teams who understand the client's commercial needs and provide a true full service approach.

While he focuses primarily on high-end corporate advice such as board matters, general meetings, shareholder litigation and employee co-determination, Moritz also brings experience in public and private transactions including public takeovers and joint ventures.

Moritz further specializes in equity capital markets law, keeping up to date and regularly publishing on the latest developments relating to the Market Abuse Regulation. His work for listed companies comprises ad-hoc reporting obligations, insider compliance, market soundings and representation vis-à-vis the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Moritz studied law at Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, and University of Cambridge with a special focus on company law. He earned his doctorate with a thesis on the participation of employees in the European Public Limited Company (Societas Europaea, SE).
