Clients rely on Michael Morehead to advocate clearly and forcefully on their behalf in their most important matters. He has litigation experience in both state and federal court.

During law school, Michael interned for the Texas First Court of Appeals and the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. He also did appellate work for Travis County, Texas, and served as an editorial board member of the Texas Review of Law & Politics and a national symposium editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy.

After graduating from law school, Michael served as a two-year judicial law clerk for the Honorable Micaela Alvarez of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. During this time, Michael drafted opinions, orders, bench memoranda, and discovery schedules, and more generally managed half of Judge Alvarez's civil docket.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Michael offered insurance companies pre-litigation coverage advice and insurance defense services as an associate at another Am 100 law firm. He also offered general defense services to insured parties.
