Mike Matheou sees issues affecting projects from the perspective of all key parties and rapidly cuts through those matters to reach robust solutions favorable to all, relying on his deep experience acting for private sector bidders and financiers, as well as governmental and other procuring authorities.

He has been involved in cutting-edge projects in the United States and before that, in the UK, elsewhere in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Mike has worked on a range of different types of infrastructure sectors including all forms of transportation, defense, education, and government accommodation.

Mike is licensed as a foreign legal consultant by the State of New York and has 35 years of experience in infrastructure projects. He started out working on the resolution of disputes arising out of major projects, but for the past 20 years he has focused on the development and financing of infrastructure, in particular on public-private partnership (P3) projects, and on transactions relating to infrastructure assets.

Advising one of the teams bidding for the P3 concession agreement at San Juan Airport, Puerto Rico.

Advising a major international engineering company in its bid for the Eglinton Light Rail P3 project in Toronto, Canada.

Advising the Tube Lines on its bid for and the successful closing of the London Underground PPP, and then advising throughout the duration of the PPP.

Advising a private sector developer on its arrangements to set up a platform to develop P3 projects the US higher education sector.

Advising EADS as sole equity provider and as launch and operations contractor on the Skynet 5 Satellite Military Communications P3 project in the UK.
