As a dually qualified lawyer in Spain and England, Miguel García Stuyck provides cultural and languages bridges to international transactions with an exceptional pragmatic and commercial approach. Miguel provides technical excellence and pragmatism on equity capital markets and private and public M&A, a combination which can only be delivered through transactional experience and knowledge of laws and regulations.

Miguel is responsible for the securities market practice of the Madrid office, with in-depth knowledge in providing transactional and regulatory advice to the financial services industry. He has extensive experience in transactions involving listed securities, including admissions to listing, securities offerings and takeover offers. He also advises in complex M&A and joint venture transactions. As a member of the Spanish Financial Institutions Group, he regularly advises institutions regarding domestic regulations on payment services, e-money and regulated funds. Lately he has been involved in the most relevant transactions of the infrastructures sector.

Acquisition by Brookfield, in joint venture with Abertis, of the toll road assets of OHL in Brazil, including mandatory tender offer following initial acquisition.

All acquisition made by Chinese group HNA in Spanish listed company NH Hotels Group and on-going advice on Corporate Governance following acquisitions.

Acquisition by Grupo Sura of regulated assets of ING in Latin-American and joint venture with co-investors.

Issuance by Globalvía of convertible loan instrument subscribed by PGGM, OPTrust and USS and subsequent sale by Bankia and FCC of Globalvía.

Advising a major financial institution in Spain on various issuances of mortgage debentures.

All equity lines of credit offered by GEM to Spanish listed companies.

Acquisition by Chinese group HNA of Swiss Port.
