Michele Gutrick Cober

Michele Gutrick Cober helps clients manage litigation and arbitration matters, particularly complex commercial litigation disputes. Her wide-ranging practice encompasses commercial contract disputes, healthcare and health insurance conflicts, education matters, and employment discrimination claims. Super Lawyers has recognized her as a "Rising Star" in business litigation for three years straight.

Michele is experienced in handling all phases of civil litigation, from drafting the initial complaint (or answer) to filing the post-trial motion, and everything in between. She represents clients in state and federal courts, and is experienced with international arbitration as well. In addition, Michele maintains an active pro bono practice and represents pro bono clients in a diverse range of matters.

During law school, Michele polished her writing skills as Executive Publications Editor of the Howard Law Journal. After graduating with honors from the Howard University School of Law, Michele clerked for the Honorable Deborah K. Chasanow on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Before joining Hogan Lovells in 2014, Michele gained practical experience as a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office of a major international law firm.
