Michael H. King

For over 50 years Michael King has been helping clients with estate planning to achieve orderly and tax-efficient transfers of assets to family members and charities. He advises on lifetime gifts as well as bequests through wills.

In addition, he handles the probate of wills and oversees the administration of estates and trusts.

Michael's clients include many high-net worth individuals, including professional athletes and entertainers, and their families.

In appropriate situations, he has prepared various forms of trusts to meet clients' needs, including charitable giving, providing for handicapped or disabled family members, and sheltering life insurance proceeds from taxation. He also advises on family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, business succession agreements, living wills, and healthcare proxies.

Michael has lectured extensively throughout the United States and authored many articles on various aspects of estate planning. He is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and has been listed as a New York Super Lawyer.

He has served as counsel for the New York City Division of the American Cancer Society and is a member of the Law and Tax Panel of United Jewish Appeal/Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York.
