Michael Jordan advises national and international clients in the field of intellectual property law, in particular patent law and the protection of trade secrets and know-how. His clients include in particular companies in the field of life sciences, medical technology and mechanical engineering. 

An essential part of his work includes representing and advising clients in patent nullity and infringement proceedings as well as advising on the negotiation and drafting of license agreements. Furthermore, he advises in particular researching companies and institutions on employee invention law and the protection of trade secrets and know-how. 

Michael Jordan studied law at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg and the University of Vigo. After his first state examination he earned an LL.M. with a specialism on business and economic law. Throughout his studies Michael focused on intellectual property law, in particular patent law and competition law with its direct links to new technologies. Accompanying his PhD-thesis on the ownership of autologous, tissue engineered products, Michael worked for several years as a research and teaching assistant at the university of Leipzig. Before he joined the firm he did his legal traineeship, during which he worked for an international law firm in the field of intellectual property law and at the German Embassy in Washington D.C., among others.
