Matthias Veicht advises clients on M&A transactions, restructurings, public takeovers and in all areas of corporate law, with a particular focus on stock corporation law. He has acquired valuable cultural and linguistic skills through numerous stays in Mainland China and Taiwan, which he applies in particular to cross-border advice on China-related transactions.
Matthias studied law and sinology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. He then completed an LL.M. in Civil and Commercial Law at the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan conducted in Chinese. In his award-winning dissertation, he delivered a comparative analysis of Chinese and German sales law.
During his legal clerkship, Matthias worked at the China Desk of a large German law firm and at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, where he gained in-depth insights into commercial law and foreign policy issues.
