Senior associate Matthew has a broad practice, advising multinational corporations on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues. He provides commercial, business focused advice on the employment aspects of complex international transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and business restructuring. Clients appreciate Matthew's personable style, and ability to break down complex issues so that they appear straight-forward.
Alongside large-scale transactions, Matthew also advises on day-to-day queries arising from all stages of the employee relationship, from recruitment through to termination and post-termination issues. More complex areas of in depth knowledge include senior executive hires and terminations; individual and collective redundancies; and TUPE issues on large outsourcings and property transactions. An experienced litigator, he defends high-value claims such as unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination in the Employment Tribunal.
Matthew's clients emanate from all industry sectors, including financial services, consumer, life sciences, insurance, infrastructure and transportation, and technology, media and telecommunications.
