Matthew is known for providing clients with practical and commercial solutions to achieve their goals. Based in London before relocating to Singapore in 2010, Matthew combines significant international proficiency with local knowledge to assist on complex cross-border transactions across Southeast Asia.

He particularly focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, and clients looking to expand into Asia. Matthew helps his clients succeed by advising on corporate, employment, and data privacy matters across a range of industry sectors.

Matthew is a member of the Singapore Venture Capital & Equity Association and sits on a leadership committee for the British Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. A strong believer in helping those less fortunate, Matthew also heads the Pro Bono and Citizenship activities of the Singapore office.

eBay Inc. on its acquisition of the Japan business of Giosis Pte Ltd., an e-commerce marketplace company.

Macquarie Infrastructure, Real Assets, and GIC on the US$1.3bn public tender offer for 31 percent of EDC, the Philippines' largest geothermal energy producer - Commended by FT Innovative Lawyers.

PayPal on its US$125m investment into Pine Labs, India's largest retail payment platform, alongside Temasek (the sovereign wealth fund of the Singapore government).

Navis Capital Partners, a leading Asian private equity firm, on numerous transactions including the acquisition of MFS Technology (S) Pte Ltd, the sale of Mentor Media Ltd, and the sale of the ECO Group.
