Mathilde Gérot

Mathilde focuses her practice on commercial law, contract drafting and negotiation, and has developed a specific expertise in data protection. She also advises clients on media law and telecoms. Mathilde assists clients in industries as diverse as media, telecoms and automotive.

She assists clients on data protection issues such as the setting up of whistle-blowing systems, the drafting of cookie policies, and in the context of litigation procedures before the CNIL. Mathilde also regularly assists clients in the drafting and negotiation of complex contracts in the e-commerce domain.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Mathilde was an associate at August & Debouzy in Paris where she worked in the Media IP/IT department for 2 years and a half.

Representative Experience

Advising and assisting three companies before the litigation division of the French Data Protection Authority, including drafting of legal submissions and preparation of hearings.

Drafting numerous agreements for the transfer of personal data.

Advising a furniture manufacturer on the drafting and negotiation of a supply contract with its main client.

Advising and representing a famous French actor before the Civil Court of Paris in relation to infringement of his private life and image.
