Mathieu Frick

A senior associate in Hogan Lovells' Paris office and a member of the Corporate practice, Matthieu joined the firm in 2012 after having worked at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Paris.

He focuses primarily on corporate law and mergers and acquisitions both on private and public companies as well as on private equity, restructuring and equity capital market transactions.

Mathieu studied law at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and Paris II Panthéon-Assas (Post-graduate degree in Tax and Business Law). He also holds a LLM from the University of Cologne / Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Representative Experience

Advising EDF on the sale of its 49% stake in SSE (Slovakia) to the Czech investment fund EPH (€800m EV).

Advising Axway on its €56m acquisition of a block of shares representing 61% of Systar's capital followed by a public takeover bid on Euronext Paris.

Advising CACIB in connection with its investment in Kaufman & Broad alongside PAI partners.

Advising Arkema, France's leading chemicals producer, on its plan to divest of its vinyl products businesses to Switzerland-based Klesch Group.

Advising PAI partners on the acquisition of Kiloutou from Sagard SAS for €535m.

Advising Bain Capital on the sale of its majority stake in Novacap to AXA Private Equity for an enterprise value of approximately €240m.
