Marta Simoni

Thanks to her diverse experience both as an in-house lawyer and as an outside counsel, Marta is well-tuned to anticipate legal issues and effectively identify the most client oriented solution. Committed to study in depth all legal issues she is presented with, Marta is determined to always deliver the highest-quality assistance. She advises clients from a wide range of industries on all contentious and non-contentious aspects of intellectual property with a focus on national and international matters relating to trademarks, unfair competition and patents. Marta also developed extensive experience in information technology, including e-commerce and data protection, advising the most significant players in the field not just in IP related matters!

Marta graduated cum laude from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan in 2011. She then attended the LLM programme of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where she focused on IP and Privacy law, graduating with top grades. Her dissertation, which she presented at the OHIM's Academy's University Network, focused on the conflicts between modern brands and trade mark law. Marta was admitted to the Bar of Milan in 2014. Marta Simoni joined the Intellectual Property department of the Hogan Lovells Milan office in 2014 following an experience as in-house counsel for a leading global Internet company.
