Markus Brusch advises banks, financial service providers, stock exchanges and other infrastructure providers on financial supervisory law. His areas of specialization include regulatory changes at European level, such as MiFID II/MiFIR and EMIR, and their national implementation, in particular the regulation of the distribution of financial instruments and the impact of regimes on the capital requirements of institutions and resolution regimes on financial instruments.
In addition, Markus advises syndicate banks and issuers on capital market and derivative transactions, in particular investment grade bonds, on bond and structured bond issuance programs as well as on OTC derivatives and certificate of indebtedness (Schuldschein) transactions.
Markus also has experience in the procedural representation of credit institutions and is admitted as a specialist lawyer for banking and capital markets law. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Markus worked for other international law firms and banks.
