Mark Eagan heads our Real Estate practice for the Americas. He represents investment banks, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, other real estate investment funds, public and private REITs, and a variety of other commercial real estate institutional investors and lenders.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Mark was a real estate partner at another international law firm, where he founded the firm's European real estate practice. He was based in London from 2001 to 2012 and, in addition to being a member of the New York bar, is a solicitor for England and Wales.

Relying on his wealth of international experience, Mark's clients typically are global both in geography and investment strategy. For example, Mark has advised Ivanhoé Cambridge for more than 20 years for transactions on three continents. He represented Ivanhoé Cambridge on their US$5.3 billion acquisition with Blackstone of Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village in Manhattan, the largest single asset real estate deal of the year.

Represented Ivanhoé Cambridge on its US$5.3bn acquisition with Blackstone of Stuyvesant Town in Manhattan, the largest single asset real estate deal of the year.*

Represented Madison Marquette on the recapitalization of a real estate fund holding multiple retail and mixed use assets, including The Wharf in Washington, D.C.

Represented McInnis, USA on the renegotiation and restructuring of a long term ground lease in Bronx, N.Y. for the construction of a cement factory and distribution center.

Represented a national health investment REIT on the renegotiation and restructuring of a long term ground lease with a distressed investor covering more than 40 properties.

Represented GreenOak Real Estate on its acquisition of a managing interest in the venture redeveloping 425 Park Avenue in Manhattan.*
