Mark J. Eagan

Mark Eagan heads our Real Estate Practice for the Americas. He represents investment banks, foreign and domestic banks, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, public and private REITs, and a variety of other commercial real estate institutional investors and lenders.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Mark was a real estate partner at another international law firm, where he founded the firm's European real estate practice. He was based in London from 2001 to 2012, and is a member of the New York bar and a solicitor for England and Wales.

With a wealth of international experience, Mark maintains many regular clients that are global: He has represented Ivanhoe Cambridge for more than 20 years on three continents. He represented Ivanhoe Cambridge in their US$5.3 billion acquisition with Blackstone of Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village in Manhattan, the largest single asset real estate deal of the year and the largest ever.

Mark also represented GreenOak Real Estate in its acquisition of a managing interest in the venture redeveloping 425 Park Avenue in Manhattan, the first office development on midtown Park Avenue in 50 years. He subsequently represented the venture in its successful equity syndication.

"I think it's his style: I think he's very cooperative, he gets along with everybody, and he gets the deal done."
