Mareike Walter advises national and international companies on complex German and European competition law issues. Mareike can assist you with her extensive experience in cartel authority investigations, cartel damages claims as well as merger control procedures and compliance issues. With a background in distribution antitrust law, Mareike can assist you with questions regarding online and platform markets.

Prior to joining our firm, Mareike was a research scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law, Hamburg. She trained with the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations in New York as well as international law firms in Berlin, and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. She also gained valuable experience in the transatlantic antitrust arena during a research stay in 2014 as ABA Section of Antitrust Law Scholar in residence in Washington, D.C. at Georgetown University.

Mareike undertook her legal education at the University of Hamburg and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain.

She regularly publishes on antitrust matters.
