Jin is a Singapore and New York qualified lawyer specialising in business restructuring and insolvency. She has over eight years of experience in formal and informal corporate restructurings, voluntary and court governed insolvencies, financial investigations and receiverships. Jin has extensive experience in advising and representing insolvency professionals, restructuring and financial accounting firms, banks, financial institutions, corporate debtors and creditors. 

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Jin worked at a global restructuring and insolvency financial services firm where her mandates include advising on enforcement strategies, analysing restructuring proposals, conducting company valuations, and assisting in the sale of assets ranging from whole businesses to publicly listed shares.

Representative experience

Advising the Liquidators of  Hyflux Limited and Hydrochem Pte Ltd in matters relating to the liquidation of the Hyflux and its associated entities.

Assisted the Judicial Managers of Hyflux to, amongst other things, undertake a proposed restructuring of the Hyflux Group, and establish control over Hyflux’s operations and assets worldwide.*

Assisted the Court-appointed receivers of Singapore investment holding entities with its assets and subsidiaries.*

Assisted the liquidators of a Singapore company trading in coffee beans.*

Managed a successful cross-border SG$215m debt-for-equity swap for PT Trikomsel Oke Tbk, an Indonesian telecommunications company.*

Assisted liquidators in the winding up of a technology company which involved the sale of the company’s business and assets as a going concern.*

Acted for the liquidators of a large spice and commodity broker in its SG$160m insolvency.*
