Lizelle Acker focuses on business rescue, as well as liquidation and sequestration related matters. Formal inquiries into the affairs of companies in liquidation and pursuing corporate recoveries by calling up suretyships form part of her day-to-day activities.

In addition, she advises corporate clients on credit and regulatory related issues. Lizelle has acted for financial institutions, including major banks, liquidators, business rescue practitioners and various corporate clients.

In business rescue scenarios she advises practitioners on all business rescue related matters, including the developing of business rescue plans and the resolution of disputed claims.

Acting for the business rescue practitioner of EduSciMat, assisting in settlement negotiations of various disputes and implementation of the business rescue plan.

Representing Medshield Medical Scheme in major High Court litigation arising out of liquidation of Calabash Health Solutions, which owed the scheme in excess of ZAR40m.
