In a time of ever-changing policy and regulation, clients need someone who can help them think around corners. Leigh Barcham provides business-oriented legal and policy solutions to help food and agriculture companies and consumer product manufacturers operate within a heavily regulated market.
Leigh advises on state and federal regulatory issues that may arise throughout the entire food production line. She is experienced in counseling clients in response to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) enforcement proceedings, and she regularly collaborates with clients to craft policies and operating procedures to achieve compliance with the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
She also guides clients in consumer products industries as they navigate federal advertising and consumer product safety laws and regulations, including helping companies execute product recalls in coordination with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
When she joined our team, Leigh brought with her more than five years of public policy experience. Leigh worked throughout law school at a firm in Washington, D.C., focusing on legislation and federal regulation affecting the energy industry. Prior to law school, she served as a policy analyst for international affairs and climate change at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
