Lawrence (Larry) I. Bailey
Lawrence Bailey draws on his understanding of the specific issues faced by healthcare clients to guide them through their most complex corporate transactions. With a focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, consortiums, and other affiliation arrangements, Lawrence represents academic medical centers, Clinically Integrated Networks, nonprofit hospitals, health systems, and municipal hospitals.
Lawrence was a corporate associate at another major law firm in Washington, D.C. before joining Hogan Lovells in October of 2013. He began his legal career prior to law school, as a litigation paralegal for the intellectual property litigation group of a major international law firm. While in law school at Northwestern, he kept busy as senior articles editor for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, and as vice president of the Student Bar Association. At Notre Dame, Lawrence majored in economics and policy studies.
Represented a Missouri university in its acquisition of a hospital from a for-profit entity, and its subsequent participation in a joint venture.
