Dr. Johannes Lau
Johannes Lau advises on complex national and international M&A transactions and corporate reorganisations as well as core corporate legal issues. With his hands-on-mentality, he further provides customized solutions for all venture capital and private equity matters.
Johannes studied law at the University of Osnabruck with a special focus on German and European corporate and capital markets law. During and after his studies, he worked with several M&A focused major law firms in Dusseldorf, Hamburg and New York as well as at the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells Johannes wrote his Ph.D. thesis on the debt-equity-swap as an instrument for corporate takeovers within insolvency plan proceedings.
