Julia La Manna advises clients in the energy and natural resources sector on a range of commercial, transactional, regulatory, legislative, and litigation matters. With focused experience in the Rocky Mountain region, Julia is a go-to for project permitting, compliance, and enforcement advice, including related to environmental regulation.

Julia provides strong knowledge to clients when engaging with state regulatory agencies, particularly in navigating rulemaking processes. She also counsels clients on complex commercial litigation. From commercial lawsuits to the evolving regulatory landscape facing the energy and natural resources sector, Julia helps clients identify a tailored solution for any issue they might face.

Additionally, Julia maintains a robust pro bono practice, with a focus on asylum and other forms of immigration relief and LGBTQ rights.

Julia also works to advance the firm's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is an active member of the Colorado Diversity Committee and she co-chairs the Denver office LGBTQ+ Committee.

While in law school, Julia was a judicial intern for Judge Anthony Navarro of the Colorado Court of Appeals and a student attorney for the American Indian Law Clinic at the University of Colorado Law School. She also served as articles editor for the University of Colorado Law Review and as a Rothgerber Teaching Fellow in civil procedure.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, she worked as an AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) fellow at the University of California San Francisco Science and Health Education Partnership. In this role, she coordinated a national initiative where mentorship was used to grow underrepresented student access to science, technology, engineering, and math careers.
