Magdalena Kowara focuses her practice on Polish and EU competition law, consumer law, State Aid law, commercial law and unfair competition.

Her professional experience covers advising and representing clients in proceedings carried out by the Polish Competition Authority, and the European Commission, both in regard to anticompetitive agreements and abuse of a dominant position, as well as in any subsequent court proceedings. Magdalena also has experience in administrative and court proceedings concerning consumer law issues.

Magdalena advises on antitrust aspects of M&A transactions and on procedural merger control issues, and represents clients in merger control proceedings before the Polish Competition Authority, and the European Commission. She also provides legal advice on project compliance with EU State Aid law, and State Aid aspects of M&A transactions.

Magdalena has in-depth knowledge of commercial agreements, distribution systems, pricing policies, rebate schemes, and advising clients on their day-to-day business. She has also successfully taken part in antimonopoly audits, and competition compliance projects. Magdalena assists clients on regulatory issues (especially energy law), as well as product safety, and product labelling.
