As a litigation partner in the Firm's Amsterdam office, Klaas has been dealing with complex disputes for more than 20 years. Klaas focuses on matters of a high technological content. He defends his clients' interests in patent litigation, trade secrets cases, product liability cases and commercial litigation cases.

Klaas knows the Courts and knows how to explain complex issues. He has handled cases before the Dutch national Courts, arbitral panels of the ICC and other institutions and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Most of his clients come from industries where research and development is key, such as life sciences, telecoms, energy, chemicals and automotive. Klaas is a real team player.

Together with his client's representatives and his Hogan Lovells colleagues he will act as one team to get the job done and will focus on what really matters. He will fight for the best possible result, whether by settlement or through litigation. He is active in the legal community and is a member of AIPPI, EPLAW and LES. He regularly speaks on conferences and the writer of legal comments.
