Matthew Kim counsels clients on the formation and operation of private investment funds focused on a variety of sectors, including health care, technology, and social enterprise.

In addition to assisting established and first-time fund managers with legal and corporate matters, Matthew advises individuals and institutions on potential investments and negotiations with fund sponsors.

While in law school, Matthew served as Managing Editor for the Cornell International Law Journal and as President for the Cornell California Law Students Association. In 2014, he had the privilege to serve as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Beverly Reid O'Connell in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

In addition to his corporate practice, Matthew is passionate about pro bono causes and volunteer work. In 2015, he successfully petitioned the Bronx County Family Court through the Courtroom Advocates Project to issue a TRO in favor of a victim of domestic abuse. During his undergraduate career, Matthew devoted his time counseling and mentoring underprivileged youth in the San Diego County.
