Kevin Garland makes deals for entertainment and media companies, producers, and artists. Kevin represents a diverse slate of studios, production companies, distributors, and other entertainment companies both in Hollywood and internationally.
Kevin regularly counsels content creators on the development, production, licensing, and distribution processes. Kevin advises clients on the best strategies to finance, exploit, and protect their creative output through contract law, intellectual property rights, and corporate structuring. Kevin especially enjoys helping clients understand and pursue new media markets.
Kevin also advises clients who wish to acquire or sell significant entertainment assets. He has worked with companies on both sides of mergers and acquisitions in the media and entertainment space. With the international resources of Hogan Lovells, Kevin has the opportunity to advise clients about the increasingly important international entertainment markets.
Kevin also represents media-related clients outside of the television and film industries, including talent agencies and independent music labels. With a background and interest in computer technology, Kevin particularly enjoys advising intellectual property owners on the impact of Internet law and new technology.
