Kathryn (Katy) Lynn Raffensperger
Katy Raffensperger double-majored in psychology and sociology at the University of Colorado, which she uses in her everyday legal practice to build trust and foster effective communication with and on behalf of her clients. She assists clients in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), dispositions, and securities and listing compliance.
Katy began her work in the corporate legal field in law school, graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law with a certificate in corporate and commercial law. A Denver native, having earned both her undergraduate and legal degrees in the metro area, Katy uses her Colorado network to maximize opportunities for clients.
While in law school, Katy was honored with the Melanie Hardaway Memorial Award for Outstanding Graduate and the Reese Persuasive Writing Award, and was a recipient of the Chancellor's Scholarship. Katy served as the comments editor of the University of Denver Law Review, and as vice president of the Student Bar Association. During the summer after her second year of law school, Katy worked in the in-house corporate legal department at MillerCoors LLC. In her third year of law school, Katy worked as a student attorney representing small businesses in the Sturm College of Law's Community Economic Development Clinic and as a legal intern for a local bankruptcy firm.
