As a French qualified senior associate in the Alicante office Julie Schmitt concentrates on intellectual property law, in particular European trade mark and design law. She advises clients in English, French and German.
Julie's experience includes advising on trade mark oppositions, cancellations, pan-European trade mark portfolio management, pan-European clearance, and appeals before the General Court in Luxembourg. She acts for a number of well-known brand owners in the food and beverage and fashion industries.
Julie studied at King's College London and the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-La Sorbonne where she obtained an LL.B in English and French law and a Maîtrise en droits français et anglais. Julie holds an LL.M. in intellectual property law from the Technische Universität Dresden and CEIPI Strasbourg. She was admitted as a French lawyer at the Paris Bar in November 2010.
