Johannes Buntjer

For over 20 years Johannes has been advising and assisting clients from various industry sectors on their key transactions. Matters on which Johannes frequently advises include national and cross border acquisitions and disposals both for corporates and for financial sponsors from the private equity and venture capital industry. Johannes stands out in transactions, which play out on the cross roads where corporate transactional issues meet commercial matters. This is often the case, where following completion of a transaction the parties continue co-operating with each other on commercial matters, for example, in outsourcing transactions.

He is able to help converting or translating specialist legal issues into relevant elements of the transactions at hand. In advising on matters Johannes builds on his wide and deep range of experience as a result of which he is able to bear in mind the interests of the transaction as a whole without losing eye for the relevant details.

Johannes takes pride in applying a no-nonsense practical approach and this is recognized by clients who characterize him as being a straightforward, experienced and transparent lawyer. He is praised for his proactivity and ability to organise transactions. While keeping transactions on course, Johannes' clients commend him for keeping their best interests in mind, adding that "he is a strong advocate with a balanced approach."

Grown up in Africa, studied in France and having spent professional time in New York and London, Johannes is a true international lawyer whose natural habitat is acting in culturally varied settings.

Sources say: "We appreciated that he was present and involved in our case; all the advice given was very helpful during the process."
