'Up-and-comer Joanna Karwowska is described as a 'dynamic lawyer”Chambers Europe 2013 and has been a member of the Hogan Lovells Real Estate Department since September 2005, advancing to the position of counsel in that time. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, she worked on a project commissioned by the European Commission assessing the correctness of the transposition of EC environmental directives into Polish law. Joanna participates in various transactions relating to real estate, in particular warehouse and industrial properties. She drafts and negotiates agreements connected with the acquisition of properties, their commercial leasing and the sale of buildings during their construction phase (forward funding and forward purchase) and after the development is completed.

In addition, Joanna conducts due diligences and prepares reports for entities financing and acquiring real estate or companies holding real estate. Joanna also advises clients (especially companies within the Panattoni Group) in their day-to-day operations, including issues connected with investment processes, agreements with contractors, etc. Since Joanna is fluent in English she is able to provide legal assistance to both Polish and foreign entities.

Advising Panattoni and Pramerica in connection with the sale of a portfolio of 10 warehouse-industrial properties all around Poland to Blackstone.

Advising Panattoni and Standard Life in connection with the sale of joint-owned portfolio of warehouse properties to Blackstone.

Advising Panattoni in connection with the sale of four logistic properties to RREEF.

Advising Panattoni in connection with built-to-suit warehouse lease to Tesco and subsequent sale of the project to Invesco Real Estate fund (forward purchase).

Advising Panattoni in connection with the BTS lease agreement with Pilkington Automotive Poland and subsequent sale of the project to WP Carey (forward purchase).
