Jan is still hard at work on the subject matters and benefits from the wealth of experience he has gained over the last decades.
Jan heads the Corporate notarial team, which focuses on corporate structures, domestic and cross-border corporate reorganisations, incorporation, merging and splitting off of companies, partnership agreements and joint-venture structures. The team is also involved in assisting the banking practice in creating security rights.
Jan started practising law in 1984 in Rotterdam, where he learned the local hands on and problem- solving approach. In 1992 he joined the Dutch predecessor of Hogan Lovells in Amsterdam. Jan became a partner in 1994 and the same year he was appointed civil law notary by the Dutch Crown.

Represented U.S. based manufacturing company - advising and implementing a new corporate and contract structure for its EMEA business.
Represented European based insurance company - structuring of joint ventures and advising on and implementing corporate group structure.
Represented U.S. based global technology company - advising and implementing various projects in relation to the corporate group structure and corporate housekeeping.
