James Tansey focuses on white-collar defense in bet-the-company lawsuits and investigations for a diverse set of industries, ranging from food and health sciences to wireless technologies.
As an associate in our Litigation Group, James also tackles complex commercial litigation in federal and California courts. A civil procedure wonk, he has experience defending consumer class actions litigation and has represented several international corporations in licensing disputes centered on the West Coast.
During law school at the University of California, Berkeley, James was on the board of editors of the Ecology Law Quarterly and served as a member of the Board of Advocates moot court team. Prior to law school, James taught at Northern Islands High School in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. He earned his B.A. in English from Dartmouth College.
