Ira Jamshidi represents companies and individuals in a wide range of Intellectual Property (IP) matters, including patent, trademark, and trade secret disputes. He secures and enforces IP rights for clients that develop innovative software, electrical, electromechanical, energy, and medical technologies.
Ira's experience includes federal and state court litigation and pre-litigation disputes over patent, trademark, and trade secret matters. When handling patent disputes, he guides clients through post-grant review, inter partes review, and derivation proceedings. He addresses contract, tort, and other commercial issues that frequently arise in IP litigation.
Ira also helps clients in non-dispute situations. He drafts and prosecutes patent applications that enable clients to protect their inventions. Ira's patent practice ranges from drafting single patent applications for solo inventors to helping multinational corporations develop and maintain global patent portfolios. He analyzes the IP rights of his clients' competitors, which includes the preparation of invalidity and non-infringement opinions, freedom to operate reports, and state-of-the-art reports.
