Miguel Hernandez Sanchez, senior associate in Mexico City, centers his practice on insurance, reinsurance, and Lloyd's market, covering life and general insurance companies, agents, and other professionals of the insurance market.

Miguel also focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate and commercial matters. He has led and coordinated teams of lawyers on matters related to mergers and acquisitions in the sales of companies. Miguel regularly advises and represents international clients with matters in Mexico. Over the past year, he has advised more than 30 international reinsurers on various legal matters.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Miguel worked for a Mexican law firm (boutique) from 2004 to 2014 and was a partner for the last three years. During that time, he mainly focused on corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, and international transactions.

Currently, he is a corporate law lecturer at Universidad Panamericana.

Advised several foreign reinsurers in the authorization process of the regulator to establish a representative office in Mexico.

Representation of various important Mexican corporations in different industries as well as foreign multinationals with subsidiaries in Mexico.
