Dr. Henning Kohlmeier
Henning Kohlmeier provides strategic advice on the creation, acquisition and protection of intellectual property rights as well as on its commercialisation, such as licensing. He represents his clients in domestic courts where he litigates for example against competitors' infringing brands, all kinds of plagiarism and imitations, and misleading advertisements. His experience includes the handling and coordination of complex cross-border disputes on trademarks and trade dresses. His practice is focused on trademarks and company names, designs and trade dresses, and copyrights as well as advertising and unfair competition law.
Henning's clients are leading multinational companies as well as mid caps, from various industries such as consumer and luxury goods, automotive, e-commerce and online/internet, life sciences and healthcare, real estate, insurance and financial institutions. He studied law at the University of Osnabrück and obtained a PhD. He finished his legal traineeship at the Higher Court of Hamburg. He is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Industrial Property and Copyright (GRUR).
