Nel-Sylvia Guzman has an established background of zealously advocating for her clients. This is prominent in both her antitrust and pro bono work, where she strives to get clients the best outcome possible.

Nel-Sylvia’s practice is focused on investigating and litigating consumer protection and anticompetitive issues on both the state and federal level. She represents clients across various industries, including health care, pharmaceuticals, and technology. Nel-Sylvia also has experience preparing clients for meetings with government agencies and responding to civil investigation demands and second requests.

Nel-Sylvia has also maintained a robust pro bono practice since joining the firm. She has substantial experience in post-conviction matters and representing survivors of domestic violence in civil protection order and custody cases.

While in law school, Nel-Sylvia was a student attorney with the University of Virginia Innocence Project Clinic. She was also Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and participated in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition for three years, securing a team spot as Mid-Atlantic Regional Finalist and competing on the national level.
