Our team here is at the forefront of events shaping the region. Our clients, which range from Fortune 500 businesses to emerging technology companies, rely on us to work together as a team to handle their sophisticated business transactions, complex commercial litigation, and large public projects at the intersection of law and public policy.

The facts about Denver

  • Our team includes nearly 90 lawyers and 75 professionals, including sizeable Marketing and Business Development and Conflicts teams.
  • We typically have 3-5 summer associates join us each year.
  • We’re consistently ranked among the top Colorado firms by Chambers USA for Corporate/M&A, Environmental and Natural Resources, Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment, and Litigation.
  • Members of our office have held key positions in local, state, and federal governments, including serving as the City Attorney for the City and County of Denver and as Assistant U.S. Attorneys for the District of Colorado.
  • We’re located in the Union Station neighborhood, which boasts a major transit hub, some of the city’s newest restaurants and hotels, a Whole Foods, and a seasonal farmer’s market.
  • Our office space, built in 2016, has an open design with tons of natural light and views of the Rocky Mountains. It also offers state-of-the-art technology, plenty of space for conversing and collaborating, height-adjustable desks and other wellness features, and beautifully designed coffee bars.

Our pro bono work

We represented four indigenous Guatemalan children seeking legal status in the United States. After their grandmother (and primary caretaker) passed away and their grandfather abandoned them, they were left to live in the streets in Guatemala. Feeling threatened for their lives and facing gang violence, they decided to flee to the U.S. Our team obtained guardianships for each of the children and applied for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status specifically for unaccompanied children whose lives are in danger in their community. We continue to guide the children during their immigration reviews and in pursuing asylum petitions.

We helped launch the Rose Andom Center, which provides a centralized location of community resources, including legal support, law enforcement services, counseling, crisis intervention, job search assistance, and more for domestic violence victims. The Rose Andom Center opened in June 2016, and was the recipient of a Downtown Denver Award for its impact on the city.

We were recognized by the Colorado Supreme Court for our contribution and service to pro bono endeavors. Our team was also nominated for the Colorado Lawyers Committee’s Law Firm of the Year award for dedicating more than 200 hours to its matters.

Our community outreach

We’ve been providing financial and volunteer support to Cheltenham Elementary School in Denver for over 14 years.  We tutor students each week throughout the school year and also provide special programming, including our Bill of Rights presentation that teaches 4th grade students about their rights and expands their understanding of how our government works.

Every December we “adopt” a number of local families in need, providing them with gifts and necessities to help ensure they have a happy holiday season.

We volunteer at the Denver Rescue Mission and Ronald McDonald House to prepare, serve, and clean-up meals for the clients these organizations assist.

We volunteer to clean up local parks and open spaces to help maintain the beauty and safety of these areas.
