Coming from a family of health care professionals, I knew I wanted to develop my practice in the health care space. Hogan Lovells was a preeminent firm in that area. I saw right away how it distinguished itself from other great firms. And why it was a good fit for me.

Professional expertise

I’m a member of our Recruitment Committee, and am a former chair of the Summer Associate Committee in the Washington, D.C., office. My practice is primarily in the medical device area, with an emphasis on enforcement. I spend my day counseling clients on a wide variety of FDA regulatory matters, and I travel globally to conduct client training and audit client manufacturing facilities. I’m also a frequent speaker at medical device and diagnostic events, and I’ve authored articles on device regulation.

For many years, I’ve been a teacher of the Thurgood Marshall Academy (a public charter high school) Law Day program and have also participated in other programs at the school. I’m sure that each day we teach, we learn more from the students than they do from us! Two of our students were awarded full academic scholarships to a prominent national university. It was a very proud moment for all of us.

We take a genuine interest in each other. The environment is supportive, collaborative, and constructive. Everybody shares the same goal of providing high-level legal services to our clients, while at the same time maintaining a sense of work-life balance.
