Surround yourself with dynamic colleagues

Deep relationships

I knew I wanted to practice in labor and employment when I was in law school, so I sought out only firms with reputable practices in that area. On paper, Hogan Lovells easily fit the bill. But what stood out most was the culture of the firm’s New York office. I found the people here likeable, approachable, intelligent, driven and curious.

My choice to join this firm was clear then and proved correct. I’m surrounded by talented lawyers whom I call mentors and friends. I’ve found a professionally and personally supportive environment of which I’m proud to be part.

Personal growth

My goals were to develop my expertise, learn how to practice law, build strong professional and personal relationships and consistently challenge myself. I’m thrilled with my progress thus far. I’ve been given the opportunity to earn the trust of those I work with and take ownership of my matters, which has allowed me to gain confidence from successes and learn from mistakes. I could not have predicted my work would be as fulfilling and challenging as it has been, nor how strong my relationships with my colleagues would become.

Professional expertise

We have a team of 10 lawyers in New York, with global and other domestic resources at our fingertips. Daily, my colleagues and I navigate clients through thorny employment matters to avoid litigation, and defend clients when claims are threatened or filed. We’ve successfully defended clients across several industries against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, restrictive covenant violations, union petitions and unfair labor practice charges, wage and hour violations, and other matters. We appear before federal and state courts, administrative bodies, and arbitrators. I’ve been fortunate to develop a well-rounded yet niche expertise.
