Gerd Bröcker advises national and international companies on energy and infrastructure projects including public private partnerships. He focuses on advising lenders, investors and borrowers on the financing of projects. During project execution, he offers advice on project and contract management as well as claims management.

Gerd studied law with a focus on international trade law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and Willamette University College of Law in Oregon, USA. Gerd completed his legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Hamburg.

Representative experience

Advising Merkur project company on the financing of the planned Merkur offshore wind farm located in the North Sea with a financing volume of approx. €1.6bn.

Advising an investor on the financing of several real estate investments.

Advising an investor on the acquisition of a group of companies operating in the waste management business.

Advising a contractor regarding a public private partnership on the construction of a freeway.

Advising a cable supplier on contract and claims management during project execution.

Advising a contractor for offshore wind farm grid connection projects in the North Sea on contract and claims management during project execution and litigation.

Advising an operator of a freeway in a public private partnership during negotiations with authorities.
