Julie Gemptel is a senior associate in the Intellectual Property, Media, and Technology team of our Paris office.

Her legal practice focuses on litigation and transactional aspects of intellectual property law (patent, trademark, copyright, and unfair competition/parasitism).

She holds a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law and Information Technology from the University of Paris-XII and a Master 2 in Private General Law from the University of Paris-II Panthéon-Assas.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells in 2017, Julie worked for two years in the Intellectual Property department of an international law firm based in Paris. She then joined a specialized boutique firm of "Avocats aux Conseils" (Supreme Court) specializing in Intellectual Property. As part of her training at law school, she also worked for a major IP law firm in London.

Advising a historical actor of the photography sector against an online platform specialized in photo development regarding trademark and parasitism claims.

Advising and representing a computer and a smartphone manufacturer in three European patents claims.
