Austin Gassen represents clients in high-stakes complex litigation and government investigations. He has experience in a broad range of industries, including life sciences, financial services, and energy. Austin began his career at Hogan Lovells as a summer associate in 2018.

While in law school, Austin gained civil litigation experience by working for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the City of Philadelphia Law Department, where he handled several matters from initial complaint through a dispositive motion. Austin also selected articles for publication as an articles editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law.

Austin is passionate about public service. He worked for an NGO in Mexico City representing migrant workers whose rights were violated in the United States and spent a semester studying the Colombian peace process in Bogota. At Hogan Lovells, he strives to continue his passion through his pro bono practice, working with clients on issues ranging from asylum to fair housing.
