Maria Alicia Fernandez believes that great success begins with strong foundations. Maria knows the importance of understanding your goals and making sure all the transaction's parts – whether corporate, transactional, real estate, or beyond – function together smoothly towards the same objective. Attentive to detail and passionate for learning, she has never shied away from a challenge for the clients she has worked with, whether large conglomerates or start-ups.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Maria worked in another leading corporate law firm in Monterrey. She often collaborates in pro bono research and has experience in legal translations and management consulting.

Supported several real estate developers, such as Davisa, Finsa, and related trust vehicles, in new investments, property developments, and general contractual matters.

Leading associate in the biannual review of compliance with antitrust requirements set by the Mexican antitrust agency COFECE for one of the largest brewing companies in Mexico.

Incorporated and managed corporate governance and regulatory matters of several Mexican companies, both with and without foreign investment.

Participated in several financing operations, including ISDA and credit negotiations.
