Claudia has considerable experience in the resolution of construction and engineering disputes. Claudia advises on local and international construction arbitration and high court proceedings, acting on behalf of global contractors under different arbitration rules (including UNCITRAL, ICC and LCIA). On a daily basis, she provides support to contractors on various matters such as their daily contractual relations, their relationship with the subcontractors and employees, and the drafting of contracts.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Claudia worked at Pinsent Masons Madrid office for over four years and before that, she lived in London for five years where she worked in the dispute resolution practices of two leading international law firms.
Representative experience
Advised a Spanish contractor in relation to substantial claims arising from a highway project for a country of the former USSR and subsequently acted in an UNICTRAL arbitration in Switzerland.
Acted for a major Spanish EPC contractor in ICC abritration proceedings brought by its JV partner in relation to a combined cycle plant project in Buenos Aires.
Represented an international EPC contractor in arbitration proceedings in relation to two purchase orders signed for the manufacturing of pressure parts for two different projects in Mexico.
Acted for a major Spanish infrastructure and energy company on an LCIA international commercial arbitration related to disputes arising from consulting contract. The seat of the arbitration is London.
Acted for a Qatari client in relation to a multi-billion-dollar, Qatari law governed, ICC arbitration seated in London arising from the construction of a major healthcare project.
Acted for a consortium including an IBEX 35 company in DAB proceedings arising from one of the world’s largest engineering projects.
Acted for an international EPC contractor in CIAM arbitration proceedings in relation to two purchase orders for the provision of steel structures for two projects in Switzerland and Croatia.
Acted for a Spanish engineering company on a dispute, subject to the rules of the ADCCAC, in relation to a construction sub-contract in the context of a gas project in Abu Dhabi.
Advised a Spanish EPC contractor of a solar plant in Spain in relation to project claims and acted on its behalf before the Madrid Arbitration Court in the subsequent arbitration proceedings.
Advised an Asian EPC contractor during the execution phase of a maritime project in South America.
Advised an international JV EPC contractor on all legal aspects of the construction of a desalination plant.
Advised a French developer in the preparation of the EPC contract for the construction of a Data Centre in Spain.
