Christiana Fell advises clients on private-company mergers and acquisitions with a particular focus in the sports and healthcare industries. 

In coordinating and executing complex deals, Christiana is highly detail-oriented while remaining attuned to her clients’ overall business goals. Drawn to corporate law by the opportunity for cross-practice collaboration, she is adept at leveraging the deep and varied expertise of each of her deal teams to deliver outstanding results to her clients.

Christiana is committed to building strong and inclusive communities within and outside the firm. She is an active member of local organization Women of M&A Network as well as Hogan Lovells’ Diversity Committee, and regularly serves as a mentor to incoming junior and summer associates. As a co-founder of the Sports Associates Committee, she takes a leading role in connecting her colleagues across practice groups and offices to support the global sports industry practice. 

Christiana began her career at Hogan Lovells as a summer associate in 2019. While in law school at the University of Virginia, she served as an articles editor on the Virginia Law Review. She graduated summa cum laude from Trinity University San Antonio, Texas in 2016.

Representative experience

Advising a consortium led by Josh Harris in the acquisition of the NFL’s Washington Commanders for a reported US$6.05 billion, the highest value sports franchise transaction in U.S. history.

Advising the Walton-Penner Family on the acquisition of the Denver Broncos from the Pat Bowlen Trust.

Advising the NBA San Antonio Spurs in a strategic investment from Sixth Street, a leading global investment firm, and Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies .

Advising the National Football League in connection with trademark licensing matters.

Advising Beijer Ref AB in the acquisition of Heritage Distribution from Gryphon Investors.

Advising UnitedHealth Group in various strategic M&A transactions.
