Women in Arbitration Reception

On November 12, the firm's International Arbitration Women's Steering Committee led by Miami senior associate Gabriella Morello and co-hosts Florida International University College of Law's (FIU Law) Women's Initiative Program and the University of Miami School of Law's (UM Law) International Arbitration Institute (IAI) held a reception at the Mandarin Oriental in Miami following the ICC Miami Conference.

Over 50 participants attended the reception, including Al Lindsay, Maria Eugenia Ramirez, Juliana de Valdenebro Garrido, Nathalie de Almagro, Guillermo Pereira, John Lechuga, among many others who discussed the advancement of women in international arbitration.

Dan González and Gabriella Morello presented the welcome remarks, along with Sandra Friedrich, Director of UM Law's IAI and professor Manuel A. Gómez, Associate Dean of International and Graduate Studies at FIU Law. They welcomed young practitioners to the arbitration community and shared statistics and trends about diversity and gender inclusion in arbitration.
