Shareholder Activism

Our German Corporate Litigation team regularly hosts webinars on different corporate litigation topics.

Initially predominantly a phenomenon in the U.S., activist investors are now more and more discovering Europe and especially Germany. They use the high liquidity in the markets and the German stock corporation law with its manifold minority rights to exert (unwanted) influence on companies, question the previous corporate strategy and attack the management. This repeatedly results in pitfalls for the company management, which can quickly result in a personal liability risk.

In our next webinar on shareholder activism, we would like to present current developments, show preventive measures, identify litigation risks and highlight possibilities for defending against the exercise of minority rights by using examples from recent case law.
